One of the most glaring issues arising in the wake of school violence is the lack of a planned and systemic support response. In many school settings, this becomes an even larger issue if no physical violence occurs (i.e. the shooter was captured before a shot is fired).
Regardless of whether individuals are physically harmed, the members of the student body; faculty; administration; and larger community likely experience significant distress as they struggle to deal with the reality that their safety and security were violated.

With special expertise in childhood and adolescent trauma, our trauma and developmentally informed approach can make a huge difference in the mental health outcomes of the people under your care if the worst happens.

As an external party that has gained a thorough understanding of your school’s culture and worked with you to prepare for the worst, if the worst does come to pass, we will be there for you and your school community.
